10.12.07 Another great weekend of college football, and college basketball gets into full swing
I think of myself as a sports fan, but in my heart of hearts, I am a basketball coach. This is one of the times I miss not coaching basketball, but hosting Indiana Sports Talk allows me the opportunity to still be very involved in all sports at some level. This weekend on the show, we obviously will recap the final weekend of the regular season in high school football. Next weekend the fun starts with the Sectionals and we all know the excitement that provides. College basketball has already begun on many campuses around the state, and NCAA schools begin this weekend. Baseball play-offs are what I watch in the studio in between breaks on the show. College football this week gives us some interseting games with some cool story lines. IU can become Bowl-eligible with a win at Michigan State, a team that desperately needs a win. Purdue needs to bounce back, but at Michigan it may not be that easy. Notre Dame is back at home for the first of five in a row in a game with Boston College, a team that will give the Irish every thing they want. Ball State is at home for Homecoming in a game with Western Kentucky. Conference championship implications in the games with Wittenberg at Wabash and Franklin College at Mt. St. Joseph’s. UIndy is at Number One Grand Valley State in an obvious tough one. Make sure you join me on the show this weekend to hear about all of these and more games. Thanks for listening and logging on.
