Triton, Ft. Wayne Bishop Luers, Washington and Brownsburg are this year’s four state champions, crowned Saturday at Conseco Fieldhouse.
Class 1A: Triton 50, Indianapolis Lutheran 42
Third-ranked Triton’s defense stifled Indianapolis Lutheran as the Trojans captured their first-ever IHSAA state title, 50-42, capping a 25-2 season.
Class 2A: Ft. Wayne Bishop Luers 69, Winchester 67
Third-ranked Fort Wayne Bishop Luers came up with key plays in the closing minutes to hold off No. 4 Winchester, 69-67, sealing its first-ever IHSAA Class 2A state crown.
Class 3A: Washington 84, Harding 60
Fourth-ranked Washington High School brought home its fifth state title in school history on Saturday night, rolling past No. 6 Harding 84-60.
Class 4A: Brownsburg 40, Marion 39
Gordon Hayward dropped in a twisting runner from point blank range as time expired to send unranked Brownsburg to a 40-39 victory over No. 8 Marion.
